Differentiating Your Cake Business in a Crowded Marketplace

There has been a surge in interest in cake decorating for some years now. Over time as with any growth area hobbyists naturally transition to other areas within the field.

This has meant that more and more cake decorators are thinking about starting their own businesses and teaching. I get asked all the time in my course Start Your Cake Business about the state of the market, is a cake decorating business viable, why don't creatives value their time and just how do you differentiate your business in a crowded marketplace.

I asked my friend Cleve MacMillian who specialises in working with creative people to find their passions and make money doing what they love to answer some of these hot questions and give his take.

Our interview is below.
